Focus Enhancements’ TView QuadScan Pro is a cost- effective high-resolution
quadrupler/scaler which provides video enhancement previously found only in
systems costing over $10,000.
Functioning as a line tripler or quadrupler, the QuadScan Pro eliminates
visible scan lines and flicker from standard video. The resulting picture,
with its improved detail and color quality, is ideally suited for professional
presentation and home theater applications. QuadScan Pro accepts interlaced
composite (NTSC/PAL), Y/C (S-VHS), and component (YPbPr) video signals. Output
is flicker-free,
progressive video.
Functioning as a video scaler, QuadScan Pro enables output to high-resolution
displays from 640x480 to 1365x1024 to support new high-resolution and digital
displays (LCD, DLP, D-ILA, plasma, etc.). Controls are accessible via
RS232/422, infrared remote control, or backlit control panel. The QuadScan Pro
also provides for any combination of source, display, and screen operation
with storage of parameters, image positioning, and range reference on color
control.
The TView QuadScan Pro uses a Source-Device-Screen Display paradigm of
optimizing the viewing area provided by a given projector. Many different
aspect ratios are used on input, and are then displayed on devices of varying
aspect ratio. The projection screen may have yet a third aspect ratio. The
QuadScan Pro enables the user to quickly program the aspect ratio of Source,
Display Device, and Screen independently, maximizing the projected area
appearing on the screen.
