Putting together a home theater system? The VR-806 makes a great centerpiece. Dolby Digital EX and DTS-ES play the 6.1-channel surround soundtracks from the latest DVDs, while Dolby Pro Logic IIx creates up to 7.1-channel surround sound from conventional 2-channel music sources like CDs, tapes and even FM radio. Active EQ tailors the receiver's response to bring the best sound out of whatever type of speakers you have (full-range, satellites, etc) and the type of program you're listening to (Movies, Music, or TV), and there are 5 audio DSP modes (Arena/Theater/Jazz Club/Stadium/Disco) that bring your music to life. With 100 watts into each of six channels (left/center/right/left surround/right surround/back surround), the VR-806 is ready to power your home theater speaker system. Coaxial and optical digital inputs provide high-quality connections for DVD players, satellite tuners and other digital sources, and six analog inputs let you connect tape decks and other components. The included Kenwood System Remote controls the receiver and other Kenwood components.
